For answering these questions, you will be able to write the summary of your e-Portfolio. Then, you can
- Use this summary for “About me” section of e-Portfolio
- Add to LinkedIn profile
- Include in Resume
Remember, the summary of your e-Portfolio should have three parts in it.
- Introduction of you
- Your accomplishments as professional
- Your skills.
Step-1 Writing the Introduction Part of the Summary
For writing the introduction, answer the following question,
Q. 1 What you do?
Q.2 What your goal is right now?
Q.3 What are your unique qualities?
Formula to Write Introduction:
“Job title = years of experience”
Example:
“I am a content writer with 5 years of experience”.
You can also add your current goal into introduction by using [be + (Verb)ing], for example; “I am seeking for new opportunities in the field.
Task: Now, combine the above parts of introduction by using [, and]. Your combination should look like this, “I am a content writer with 5 years of experience, and I am seeking for new opportunities in the field”.
You can also add your unique qualities in the introduction part of your summary for the e-Portfolio. For this purpose, use the following formula,
“I am a/an adjective and adjective professional”.
Finally, your introduction part of e-Portfolio is complete. It should appear as,
“I am a content writer with 5 years of experience, and I am seeking for new opportunities in the field. I am an insightful and creative professional.”

1.The first sentence of your summary has two parts.
Part 1: Job title with experience.
Ex: I am an accountant with 5 years of experience.
Part 2: Your goal.
· For job: I am seeking employment or new opportunities in the field.
· For showing our work and connecting: I am hoping you will look at my site and letting me know what you think.
· For selling: I am hoping you’ll look at my products and think about purchasing one.
· Part 1 & 2 combined: I am an accountant with 5 years of experience, and I am seeking new opportunities in the field.

2. The second sentence describes who you are.

We can choose adjectives from the categories below:

· You work well with others: cooperative
· You can create things or ideas: creative/innovative
· You can do the work: confident/self-assured/capable/assertive
· You can communicate well: articulate/well-spoken

Step-1I Writing the Accomplishment Part of the Summary
The rest of your summary is about your 3 main accomplishments. Write 2-3 sentences about what you did and completed. Use past tense of the verb to write it.
Formula to write your Accomplishment:
“What you did or completed?”
Example: “I composed professional e-Portfolio.”
Tip: To make sentences longer and descriptive, add
· Information about the client, the place and the time
a. To Add Client; use the formula “for + person”. For example, “I composed professional e-Portfolio for students”.
b. To Add Location; use the formula “in + city/country”. For example, “I composed professional e-portfoilio for students in London”.
c. To Add Year; use the formula “in + year”. For example, “I composed professional e-portfolio for students in London in 2022”.
Activity: Combine all the above sentences, which we have formulated as examples.
Your outcome should look like this;
“First, I composed professional e-Portfolio for students in London in 2022. Additionally, I managed to document their experiences in these e-Portfolios. Finally, I designed more than 10 e-Portfolio templates in Accrington in 2023.”
Remember1; We can use verbs from the following categories:
· Verbs for creating: created/produced/designed/built/developed/prepared
· Verbs for researching: researched/analyzed/examined or sometimes tested
· Verbs for managing: managed/supervised/oversaw
· Verbs for working: worked on/completed
· Verbs for presenting: gave/presented
· Verbs for teaching: taught/educated/trained
· Verbs for writing: wrote/published/composed/authored
Remember2; To make sentences longer and more descriptive, you can add information about the client, the place, and the time.
I built custom kitchen cabinets for 12 clients.
Cities and countries normally take the preposition “in”, so write the location using “in” as in
I built custom kitchen cabinets for 12 clients in New York.
Finally, add the year by writing the preposition “in”. Then we would have,
I built custom kitchen cabinets for 12 clients in New York in 2005.

To connect the three sentences of accomplishments, don’t forget to add vocabulary to connect them. To connect these sentences to the paragraph and make them sound more unified, you can to add a few words to connect the ideas such as first, second, third, or add transition words such as also, in addition, or finally.
Step-I1I Writing Your Skills as Part of the Summary
For writing your skills in the summary, use the following formula.
“I am skilled in …………., …………., and ………….”
Example: “I am skilled in creative thinking, composing ePortfolios, and English (advanced).”
Task: combine all the above examples of introduction, accomplishment and skills to make it one paragraph, and this paragraph will be your summary of the ePortfolio.
Example of Summary:
“I am a content writer with 5 years of experience, and I am seeking for new opportunities in the field. I am an insightful and creative professional. First, I composed professional ePortfolio for students in London in 2022. Additionally, I managed to document their experiences in these ePortfolios. Finally, I designed more than 10 ePortfolio templates in Accrington in 2023. I am skilled in creative thinking, composing ePortfolios, and English (advanced).”
