How to Write a Professional Summary for e-Portfolio
In your summary, try to answer the following questions:
- Who are you? (professionally)
- What have you accomplished as a professional?
By answering these questions, you will be able to write a strong summary for your e-Portfolio. You can use this summary in multiple places:
- About Me section of your e-Portfolio
- LinkedIn profile
- Resume
Structure of a Good Summary
Your e-Portfolio summary should include three main parts:
- Introduction
- Professional accomplishments
- Skills
Step 1: Writing the Introduction
To write the introduction, answer the following questions:
- What do you do?
- What is your current goal?
- What are your unique qualities?
Formula for Introduction
“Job title with years of experience”
Example: I am a content writer with 5 years of experience.
You can also add your goal using the structure:
“I am seeking new opportunities in the field.”
Combined Example:
I am a content writer with 5 years of experience, and I am seeking new opportunities in the field.
Adding Personal Qualities
“I am an adjective and adjective professional.”
Example:
I am an insightful and creative professional.
Common Adjectives You Can Use
- Kind: kind, caring, compassionate
- Hardworking: committed, dedicated, responsible, motivated
- Honest: trustworthy, honest
- Teamwork: cooperative

Step 2: Writing Your Accomplishments
The second part of your summary describes your main achievements. Write 2–3 sentences about what you have done using past tense verbs.

Add:
- Client (for whom)
- Place (where)
- Time (when)
Examples
